"where the music lives "

Rockabillytennessee.com promotes rockabilly and root music from a unique location Jackson, Tennessee, the home of Carl, Jay and Clayton, the Perkins Brothers, Fluke Holland, Carl Mann,   Scotty Moore, Lynn Pratt, Ed Sisco, and countless other musicians, writers and producers that  gave life to this music. Add to that the blues work of John Lee "Sonny Boy"Williamson, Yank Rachell, Sleepy John Estes and others, not to mention the country and gospel influences and you have the soul of modern music. This music drew from the regional influences that were natural to post - World War II life in the South.

Rockabillytennessee.com is your passport to a music style distinctively southern, a unique combination of blues and country that surfaced in the mid-1950's primarily through the work of Sam Phillips and Sun Studios, Union Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee, and drawn from artists such as Elvis Presley,   Carl Perkins and others.

Over $327,000.00 raised!!

A hundred years from now,
nobody will remember who
I was, what I did or
how much money I had,
but the world may be
a little different
and a little better
because I was important
in the life of a child...

Thanks to everyone who pledged during the telethon!   If you didn't get a chance to make a donation during the telethon it is still not too late to make a difference in a childs life.
