JACKSON AREA ARTIST RELEASED ON BLIND PIG Blind Pig Records has released "Back on Track" by Arthur Adams. Adams, who hails from Medon, Tennessee (Madison County south of Jackson), has worked with many including B. B. King who graces two tracks on this CD. The Adams history includes work with Jimmy Beck ("Pipe Dream"), Gene Allison ("You Can Make It If You Try"), back up stage work with Lightnin Hopkins, Chuck Berry, Elmore James, Lowell Fulson, Buddy Guy, studio work with the Jackson 5, Henry Mancini, Lou Rawls, Willie Hutch, Sonny Bono, Nancy Wilson, etc. including movie soundtrack work on everything from Bonnie & Clyde to Ironside. Working with Chris Smith, Bobby Womack, B. B. King and others helped hone the current Arthur Adams sound. As Bill Dahl declares, "With his Blind Pig album triumphantly announcing the emergence of Arthur Adams as one of todays most exciting blues artists, there can be no doubt that this veteran guitar master is Back on Track. The destination is clearly international stardom." No a decade too soon for the man from Medon who acknowledges, not only Memphis WDIA and Nashvilles WLAC, but also Jacksons WJAK as key influences in his formative years.
